GT - Board ErrorsUpdated 2 years ago

Board errors may cause you to be stuck in a certain mode or have other effects. Read on for an explanation and directions on how to access.

 

Where to Find Errors


R2 Remote
  1. Turn your board and remote on, then pair.
  2. Double-tap the ON/OFF button on the remote to open the menu.
  3. Press MODE 2 to scroll down to 'More Info' and tap the ON/OFF button to enter.
GT Remote
  1. Turn your board and remote on, then pair.
  2. Double-tap the left button on the remote to open the menu.
  3. Press the left button to scroll down to 'More Info' and tap the right button to enter.

 

Error Definitions


Batt Err

The motor controller is not receiving the required information and may indicate a communication error between the motor controller and BMS, or BMS and battery. This will limit you to SLOW mode.

Resolution

  1. Open the board by undoing the 8 bolts in the top of the deck and remove the battery cover for the Carbon, or battery case for the Bamboo.
  2. Check all the plugs and wires are secured by unplugging and reinserting them as in this video (without removing the motor controller). 
  3. If this does not alleviate the concern, contact our tech support team.
Batt Drain

The battery voltage has dropped below the threshold for operation i.e. the battery is being detected as depleted. This may put you into SAFE mode.

Resolution
We recommend contacting our tech support team for further diagnosis with the details of your concern.

Maintain Batt

A variance between individual cells beyond a certain threshold is detected. This will limit you to SLOW or ECO mode until the board is turned off and on again.

Motor Err

Indicates a communication error between the motor controller and a motor but can occur with poor trigger settings. This can limit you to SAFE mode. 

Displayed as either 'Motor 1 Err', 'Motor 2 Err', or 'Motor 1&2 Err'.

Resolution

  1. Motor 1&2 Error: Please check the Remote Concerns article. 
  2. Single Motor Error with physical effects: Refer to the Motor Concerns article.
No Product ID

If the Product ID is missing, this may indicate a communication error between the remote and motor controller. This may limit you to ECO mode.
 

 
Resolution
Ensure the remote is functioning correctly as per the Remote Concerns article. If the concern persists, we recommend contacting our tech support team.
