GTR - Board Doesn't Turn On or Switch Light Flashes

If your GTR board isn’t turning on, or the power switch light is flashing, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Step 1: Check if the Board is Charged

Before anything else, charge the board and see if it turns on.

• If the board doesn’t take charge or you suspect it’s completely flat, refer to our Board Doesn’t Charge article for further steps.

Step 2: Check the Battery & Motor Controller Connections

Loose connections can prevent the board from turning on. Ensure the board is powered off before checking.

Carbon GTR

1. Remove the battery cover/seal by unscrewing the 15 bolts in the gripped section of the deck.
2. Locate the two battery-to-motor controller connectors and disconnect them.
3. Reconnect both plugs, ensuring they align with the guide teeth and arrows.
4. Disconnect the red/green/maroon switch cable and reconnect it.

Bamboo GTR / Stoke

1. Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the 7 or 11 bolts in the gripped section of the deck.
2. Disconnect the battery from the motor controller, then reconnect it, ensuring the guided arrows align correctly.

Step 3: Check for Resistance in the Motors

Unusual resistance in the motors may indicate an issue.

• If both motors feel stiff (with the board powered on or off), contact tech support.
• If only one motor has resistance, check our Motor Concerns article for further troubleshooting.
