GTR - Motor ConcernsUpdated 2 years ago

If both motors do not work, but the remote and board are connected, check the Remote Concerns article.

Single Motor Concern

Check the hall sensors for debris by looking into the vents on the non-drive side of the motor. Locate the three sets of three pins (you may need to rotate the wheel by hand to expose them). Ensure there is no dirt or debris. If there is, clean with compressed air or lightly with a wooden toothpick.

If the concern remains, follow the below steps to isolate the concern to the motor or motor controller.

1. Undo the bolts that hold the P-clips in place on the rear base plate.

2. Pull apart the motor connectors.

3. Swap the motor connectors over.

4. Did the concern stay with the same motor or the same cable?

  • Stayed with the same motor: motor
  • Changed motors: motor controller

Once you have isolated the concern, contact our tech support team with the details and the diagnostic steps you have completed.
