Why is my GTR Series 2 showing 1% battery and vibrating constantly, even after a charge?Updated a day ago
If your GTR2 board suddenly shows 1% battery, vibrates constantly, locks into ECO mode, or asks for calibration, even though it was recently charged, this usually points to a battery issue, not a remote or firmware problem.
What’s happening:
This behaviour is typically caused by inaccurate readings from the BMS (Battery Management System).
The board may show a full voltage (e.g. 42V), and all cells may appear balanced, but the percentage will still read 1%.
This indicates a communication fault inside the BMS, where a cell isn’t being properly detected or interpreted.
When this happens, the board will enter LIMP mode, a safety state that:
Displays 1% battery
Vibrates constantly
Keeps the board in ECO modw
Even if the board appears to recover after charging, this error will likely return, and the internal battery system will need attention.
What to do next:
This is a battery-level issue and needs to be physically assessed by our tech team.
If you’re unsure this applies to your situation, take a photo of your cell readings using the app or Phaze remote and send it through — we’ll review it and advise the next steps.
