What Happens if You Install the Wrong Firmware on Your Board or Remote?Updated 17 days ago

Installing the wrong firmware is not advised.

✅ Always Update the Explore by Evolve App First

Before doing any firmware update, make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Explore by Evolve app installed on your phone.

🔍 Check Your Firmware Versions

Once connected to your board via the Phaze remote, go into the Product Info section to confirm what firmware is currently installed.

Here’s what the correct firmware should look like for each board:

  • Diablo: 3.14

  • Renegade Diablo: 3.14

  • Stoke X: 3.14

  • Hadean: 3.09

  • GTR (Series 2): 3.09

  • Renegade (3000W): 3.09

  • Stoke Series 2: 3.09

⚠️ Phaze Remote Firmware — Use the Right One

This part’s important: the Phaze remote needs to match the board it’s paired to.

  • If you have a Diablo or Renegade Diablo, install the Diablo firmware on your Phaze.

  • If you have a Hadean, GTR Series 2, Renegade (3000W), or Stoke Series 2, use the standard Phaze firmware (non-Diablo).
