🛠️ What’s the difference between the original Evolve trucks, SuperCarve 1, and SuperCarve 2?Updated 3 days ago

Over the years, Evolve has developed several truck designs, each improving on stability, control, and carving feel. Here’s a clear breakdown of the differences so you know what sets each one apart.

🔩 Original Evolve Trucks (GTR Series 1 era)

These were used on earlier boards like the GT and GTR Series 1 as well as Stoke Series 1.

Key characteristics:

  • Narrower stance

  • Simpler geometry

  • Good carving feel at lower speeds

  • Less stability at higher speeds compared to newer designs

These trucks laid the foundation for Evolve’s carving style, but rider feedback showed room for improvement in stability and control.

🌀 SuperCarve 1 Trucks

SuperCarve 1 was the first major evolution of Evolve’s truck geometry and was used on boards like the GTR Series 2 and Hadean.

What changed:

  • Updated geometry for better high-speed stability

  • Improved turning control without losing carve

  • More predictable handling compared to original trucks

SuperCarve 1 struck a strong balance between stability and manoeuvrability and remains a very capable setup.

⚡ SuperCarve 2 Trucks (Latest generation)

The SuperCarve 2 trucks are the most advanced Evolve trucks to date and are designed for riders who want maximum control, smooth transitions, and deep carving.

Key upgrades:

  • 20mm wider than SuperCarve 1 for increased stability

  • Revised front and rear axle assemblies

  • Updated axle design and geometry

  • Double kingpin design for smooth, deep turns

  • Forged and CNC-machined for strength and precision

The geometry changes are the biggest difference — SuperCarve 2 significantly improves stability at speed without compromising carveability. The ride feels more controlled, smoother, and more confidence-inspiring across all terrain.

✅ Compatibility (SuperCarve 2)

SuperCarve 2 trucks are compatible with:

  • Diablo

  • Hadean

  • GTR Series 2

  • Stoke X

Important notes:

  • Must be paired with the 3500W motor plates (not included)

  • Require SuperCarve 2 drive gears (sold individually, two required)

  • Not compatible with boards using 1500W motors

  • Not compatible with GT or GTR Series 1 setups

🏁 Summary

  • Original Evolve trucks: Good carve, less high-speed stability

  • SuperCarve 1: Improved geometry, better balance of stability and carve

  • SuperCarve 2: Widest stance, revised geometry, maximum stability and smooth carving
