Riders Over 100kg / 220lbsUpdated 2 months ago
Weight plays a big role in board performance, range, and durability. If you're over 100kg (220lbs), here’s what you need to consider before riding an Evolve board.
Maximum Load Limits by Model
- Most Evolve boards: 100kg (220lbs) max load
- Carbon Hadean: 120kg (265lbs) max load
- Diablo Series (Newer models): 120kg (265lbs) max load
Exceeding these weight limits puts extra stress on the motors, battery, trucks, and deck, which may lead to reduced performance, shorter range, and increased wear on components.
How Weight Affects Performance
Carrying extra weight impacts:
✅ Range – More power is needed to maintain speed, which can shorten battery life.
✅ Acceleration & Hill Climbing – Heavier riders may experience slower acceleration and less torque on inclines.
✅ Braking – More momentum means braking distances may be slightly longer.
✅ Deck Flex & Durability – Boards outside their weight spec may experience additional stress on the deck and trucks.
While our boards are built tough, riding above the recommended limit may result in issues that aren’t covered under warranty. If you're close to or over the limit, stick to smooth terrain and avoid putting the board under excessive stress for extended periods.
Choosing the Right Board
For heavier riders, we recommend:
- Diablo Series or Carbon Hadean – Both support up to 120kg (265lbs) and provide better stability, range, and durability.
- All Terrain Wheels – These offer better grip and comfort, helping to handle the extra load more smoothly.
