My Stoke Won’t Turn On or Randomly Shuts Off — Is It the Power Button?Updated 3 days ago

If your Stoke (or a GTR Series 1 Bamboo or Carbon) isn’t turning on reliably, the power button switch is usually the first thing to check.

⚠️ What You Might Notice

    •    You press the power button and… nothing happens — or it takes a few tries

    •    The button feels soft or spongy, and doesn’t seem to properly ‘click’ or lock in

    •    When pressed, it pops back out without activating — like it’s not quite engaging properly

These are all signs that the internal mechanism of the button is worn or no longer making good contact.

✅ The Fix

This is an easy repair. The power button can be replaced and is the same part used on:

    •    Stoke Series 1

    •    GTR Bamboo Series 1

    •    GTR Carbon Series 1
