My remote won’t connect to my boardUpdated a month ago

If your remote isn’t connecting, there are a few steps to take before riding again. There can be several reasons why it’s happening, so let’s rule out the common ones first.

1. Start with a Trigger Reset

This should always be your first step. Follow the instructions for your specific remote model. After completing the reset:

  • R2 Bluetooth, R2 (WiFi), or Phaze WiFi:
Please send us a photo of your trigger values on screen after the reset is complete. This helps our tech team assess if the remote is functioning correctly.

  • Phaze Bluetooth:
If your remote fails to complete the calibration (e.g. it won’t pass the brake trigger stage), stop there and reach out to our tech team. They’ll guide you from there.

✅ If the trigger reset works fine, but the remote still won’t connect to the board, please let us know. This could indicate a motor controller issue, and our tech team will help troubleshoot it further with you.

2. Check for Loose Components

Give the remote a gentle shake next to your ear. If you hear anything rattling inside, this could indicate internal damage and should be looked at by our team.

3. Still Unsure?

If your remote feels off in any way, please don’t ride until we’ve been able to investigate. A faulty connection can result in unexpected behaviour while riding, so it's important to be safe.

📩 Contact our team and include:

  • The model of your remote and board

  • Any screenshots or trigger values

  • A description of what you’re seeing

We’ll help you get it sorted so you're back out cruising confidently.
