My Remote Says 1% Battery and Won’t Charge — What Does That Mean?Updated 2 days ago
If your remote is stuck showing 1% battery, it’s important to know that this doesn’t refer to the remote’s charge level. The 1% figure is the board battery level being displayed, not the remote. The remote’s own battery is shown as a set of bars in the top corner of the screen.
A constant 1% board battery reading usually means the board is not charging properly or can’t detect the battery voltage.

✅ What We Need to Know
To help you out, we’ll need a few quick details:
• Which board do you have? (e.g. Hadean, GTR Series 2, Diablo, etc.)
• Does the board power on properly? Are there any unusual lights (e.g. constant yellow)?
• When you plug in the charger, what does the LED on the charger do?
• Does it go red when plugged in and then switch to green?
• Or is it staying green the whole time?
• What are your battery cell readings?
If you’re using a Phaze remote, you can check this by:
1. Connecting the remote to the board
2. Viewing individual cell voltages
If you notice one or more cells showing unusually low voltages or the board simply won’t accept a charge, this may be a deeper battery or motor controller fault.

🛠 What Happens Next
In most cases like this, the board will need to come in for a proper inspection. Our Tech Team will reach out to you shortly with the next steps.
In the meantime, gathering the above info and sending us a photo of the cells will really help speed things up.
We’ve got you — let’s get this sorted.
