đź My remote is broken â should I fix it or buy a new one?Updated 20 days ago
Whether itâs worth repairing your remote or replacing it depends on the type of remote you have and how it was damaged.
đ§ Repair options
Phaze remotes: These can be repaired, but youâll need to send the remote to us at your own cost.
Average repair cost is around $120 AUD (excluding shipping).
Depending on the damage, buying a new remote may be the better option.
R2 remotes (older models): These are no longer repairable. If an R2 fails, youâll need to purchase a new remote.
â ïž Warranty considerations
If your remote has malfunctioned due to a manufacturing fault (not drops, water damage, or negligence) and is still within the 12-month warranty period, please let us know â it may be covered under warranty.
â Recommendation
In most cases, purchasing a new remote is the best option for both cost and convenience. Repairs are only suitable if the remote is a Phaze and the damage is minor.
Not sure whatâs best? Let us know how the remote broke and what model youâre using, and weâll guide you on the most cost-effective option.
