🎮 My remote is broken – should I fix it or buy a new one?Updated 4 months ago
Whether it’s worth repairing your remote or replacing it depends on the type of remote you have and how it was damaged.
🔧 Repair options
Phaze remotes: These can be repaired, but you’ll need to send the remote to us at your own cost.
Average repair cost is around $120 AUD (excluding shipping).
Depending on the damage, buying a new remote may be the better option.
R2 remotes (older models): These are no longer repairable. If an R2 fails, you’ll need to purchase a new remote.
⚠️ Warranty considerations
If your remote has malfunctioned due to a manufacturing fault (not drops, water damage, or negligence) and is still within the 12-month warranty period, please let us know — it may be covered under warranty.
✅ Recommendation
In most cases, purchasing a new remote is the best option for both cost and convenience. Repairs are only suitable if the remote is a Phaze and the damage is minor.
