🛠 My R2 Remote Now Has a White Screen and Won’t Turn OnUpdated 6 days ago

If you’ve tried to update your R2 Bluetooth remote using the Explore by Evolve App and now it shows a white screen or won’t turn on — here’s what’s happened.


❌ Why This Happened

The update feature in the Explore App is designed only for the Phaze remotes, not the R2. Unfortunately, the R2 will still connect to the app and may even begin an update — but this update is not compatible with the R2 remote.


If this process goes through, it can overwrite the firmware and essentially brick the remote, causing it to go blank or become unresponsive.


🔧 What You Need to Do

There is no way to fix this at home.

The remote will need to be sent in to us so our tech team can manually reload the correct firmware onto the device.
