My board won’t turn on after long-term storageUpdated 3 hours ago
If your board hasn’t been used in several months (or longer) and now won’t power on—even when plugged into the charger—it’s likely that the battery has dropped below safe operating voltage.
🔋 Why this happens
Lithium-ion batteries naturally self-discharge over time, even when not in use. If left too long without being checked or recharged, the battery can drop to a voltage that’s too low for safe charging. When this happens:
The board won’t power on
The charger light stays solid green (not charging)
📍 Most common with:
Boards stored for 6+ months without charging
🔧 What you can do
Do not try to force charge it—this can be dangerous
If you have a multimeter, check the battery voltage:
If it’s below 30V, the pack may have dropped too low

✅ How to prevent this
To avoid this issue in future:
Charge your board at least once every 4–6 weeks, even when not in use
Store the board indoors, away from heat and humidity
Never store the board with an empty battery
