My board’s battery housing is flashing red – what does this mean?Updated 2 days ago

If your Renegade Diablo (or any of our boards including the Diablo, Stoke X or Hadean Series) shows a rapidly flashing red LED on the battery housing, it’s easy to assume it’s a board issue. But don’t stress — this is most likely related to the remote, not the board itself.

What’s happening?

This usually means the brake trigger is being detected as permanently engaged, which can happen due to an internal remote error. When this occurs, the board recognises it the same way it would if the brakes were being held down — and the flashing red light is how it signals that.

First step: try a brake trigger calibration

If it doesn’t let you progress past the brake calibration step, it confirms the brake trigger is stuck and will need to be inspected by our techs.

What’s the fix?

This isn’t something you’ll be able to sort at home. The remote needs to come back to us so we can assess and repair the internal trigger mechanism.

You can submit a repair request by filling out our Warranty & Repair Form (WAF). Once we receive it, we’ll sort the rest.
