Board Compatibility Guide: Motors, Batteries & Motor ControllersUpdated 11 hours ago

If you’re upgrading your board or replacing a part, it’s important to make sure everything is compatible. Not all motors, batteries, or motor controllers work across different boards. This guide breaks down which components match which boards.

🔧 Motor Compatibility

3000W Motors

Compatible with:

  • Fusion

  • GTR Series 2

  • Stoke X

  • Hadean Series

  • Renegade 1

3500W Motors

Compatible with:

  • Diablo Series (Carbon Diablo, Diablo Bamboo, Diablo Renegade)

🔋 Battery Compatibility

12S2P (10Ah)

Used in:

  • Stoke X

  • Fusion

  • Diablo

  • Hadean

12S3P (15Ah)

Used in:

  • Diablo

  • Fusion

12S4P (20Ah)

Used in:

  • Diablo

  • Hadean

12S4P (16Ah)

Used in:

  • Hadean

⚠️ Even if battery types match, not all boards share the same deck mounts. Always check mounting compatibility before swapping batteries.

🧠 Motor Controller Compatibility (EFOC 1.0 vs 2.0)

Diablo MC (EFOC 2.0)

  • Only works with Diablo boards using 3500W motors

  • Runs custom Diablo firmware

Fusion & Stoke X MC (EFOC 2.0)

  • Works only with 3000W motors

  • Preconfigured firmware for Fusion/Stoke X

Hadean & GTR2 MC (EFOC 1.0)

  • Only compatible with Hadean and GTR Series 2 boards

  • Not compatible with Diablo, Stoke X, or Fusion

🔄 Transition to EFOC 2.0

As EFOC 1.0 stock runs out, we’re gradually moving all board models to EFOC 2.0 for after-sales service. This includes the Hadean and GTR2 models.

You can identify your controller by its PCB colour and sticker:

  • Red PCB = EFOC 2.0

  • Yellow sticker = Diablo

  • White sticker = Fusion, Stoke X, Hadean, GTR2

📝 Key Things to Remember

  • Batteries may be shared across models, but motor controllers must always match the motor size

  • 3000W motors must use Fusion/Stoke X/Hadean MCs (EFOC 2.0)

  • 3500W motors must use Diablo MC (EFOC 2.0)

  • You can’t upgrade performance by swapping controllers between models. The firmware is locked to each board type.
