GTR Carbon Series 1 - Not Getting Advertised Top SpeedUpdated a month ago
If your board isn’t hitting its top speed, there are a few settings and factors to check before reaching out to support.
1. Check If Speed Limit Is On
If the speed metric (kph/mph) on your remote is yellow, this means the Speed Limit setting is enabled.
How to Adjust Speed Limit:
- Turn on the remote.
- Double-click the ON/OFF button to open the menu.
- Use the mode buttons to scroll to Options > Speed Limit and press the ON/OFF button to enter.
- Select the desired speed limit or turn it OFF, then press the ON/OFF button to confirm.
- Scroll down to Return and select it to exit the menu.
2. Ensure Your Wheel & Drive Gear Settings Are Correct
Incorrect wheel settings will affect your speed and trip data.
How to Check & Adjust Wheel Settings on the Remote:
- Check your wheel size(printed on the side of the tyre):
- Street Wheels: 85mm, 97mm, 105mm, 107mm
- All-Terrain Tyres: 150mm (6”) or 175mm (7”)
- Identify your drive gear size(written on the belt or count the teeth on the gear):
- 66T Gear → GT-001
- 32T Gear → GT-003
- 38T Gear → GT-004
- 47T Gear → GT-006
- Update Wheel Settings on your remote:
- Turn on the remote.
- Double-click ON/OFF to open the menu, go to My Board > Wheel Settings.
- Select the correct Wheel & Gear Settings, then confirm the selection.
3. Other Factors That May Impact Top Speed
- Tyre Pressure → All-Terrain tyres below 40 PSI create extra rolling resistance, reducing speed. Inflate them between 40-50 PSI.
- Rider Weight → The advertised top speed is based on an 85kg rider. Heavier riders may experience a slightly lower top speed.
