To protect the entire electric system from overheating, we have created software that is designed to reduce the board performance when it reaches certain temperatures. This forces it to cool down and prevent the rider from continuing to put stress on the electric system. 

If ever the system does reach this protection mode, the remote will automatically go to PRO mode, will vibrate one time and the speed reading will change to red. During this time you will not be able to change speed modes above PRO speed until the board cools down to a safe temperature. 

Riding on high resistance surfaces like grass with repetitive speed changes uses maximum current which will heat up the motors very quickly and may cause the board to go into heat protection mode. 

If riding fast for long periods of time on hard surfaces with small amounts of grass and hills, the entire electric system heats up more evenly and will most likely not reach the heat protection modes. 

Please ensure you give the motors a chance to cool down by riding efficiently (holding a speed on hard surfaces) or letting it rest for a few minutes. The heat protection is necessary to protect the board from being overworked.
