GTR Carbon Series 1 - Heat ProtectionUpdated a month ago
To prevent the electric system from overheating on your GTR Carbon Series 1, built-in software reduces board performance when temperatures reach certain limits. This allows the system to cool down and prevents excessive stress on the components.
If the board enters heat protection mode:
- The remote will automatically switch to PRO mode, vibrate once, and the speed reading will turn red.
- Speed modes above PRO will be locked until the board cools down to a safe temperature.
What Causes Heat Protection to Activate?
- High-resistance surfaces (e.g., grass) combined with frequent speed changes draw maximum current, heating the motors quickly and triggering heat protection.
- Consistent high-speed riding on hard surfaces with some grass and hills allows the system to heat more evenly and is less likely to activate heat protection.
How to Avoid Heat Protection Mode
- Ride efficiently—maintain a steady speed on hard surfaces rather than frequently accelerating and braking.
- If heat protection activates, let the board cool down for a few minutes before continuing.
Still Having Issues?
If your board repeatedly enters heat protection mode under normal riding conditions (without heavy load or high resistance surfaces), contact our tech support team with details of your concern.
