GTR - Fluctuating Battery PercentageUpdated 2 years ago

If the battery percentage is not dropping in 1% increments, goes up and down, or drops from a certain percentage to 0%, there may be a concern.

Drops in Large Increments

If the board battery drops in more than 1% increments and doesn't go back up, contact our tech support team.

Drops from a Low Percentage to 0%

This is to be expected under heavy load or if the battery is older.

If the battery voltage drops below the threshold while riding, it will drop to 0% and put you into ECO mode to prevent damage to the battery by over-discharging the cells. If this occurs, charge the board to full and test it, being sure to put it under less strain at lower percentages to ensure it is still operating normally.

If the concern continues at the same percentage even with a light load, contact our tech support team.

Percentage Fluctuates

This may be a loose connection. Ensure the power is off first.

  • Carbon GTR:
    1. Remove the battery cover/seal by undoing the 15 bolts in the gripped part of the deck.
    2. Disconnect the 2 plugs from the battery/motor controller, then reconnect. Both plugs have guide teeth and arrows to ensure the connector is in the correct way.
    3. Reassembled the board and test.
  • Bamboo GTR/Stoke:
    • Drop the battery by undoing the 7 or 11 bolts in the gripped part of the deck.
    • Remove and unplug the battery from the motor controller, then reconnect and test. The battery plug has teeth and both plugs have guided arrows to ensure the connector is in the correct way.

If this does not alleviate your concern, contact our tech support team.
